You see, my friend Anthony isn’t getting enough sleep at nights because he is working 2 jobs. I think he needs to de-stress and lighten his load a bit! What do you think? After all, he’s not being paid to sleep. This is why you should get enough sleep at night so that you don’t find yourself sleeping at work!
Anyways, getting enough sleep at night is very important, as you can see. But what are some tricks to falling asleep earlier?
I recommend getting some vigorous exercise in your afternoon, before dinner. That way you use a lot of your energy, but you aren’t all pumped up right before you go to bed.
Another good practice to have is avoiding electronics for 45 minutes to an hour before bed. The bright lights keep you awake and keep your mind from slowing down into sleep.
And lastly, the best way to get to sleep is going to bed at the same time each night. This pattern will be recognized by your body and pretty soon it will cooperate and fall asleep each night at the same time. Generally speaking, you have to go to bed at the same time each night for 2 weeks in order to set your “internal clock”.
All in all, getting enough sleep at night is important. I bet a mattress is comfier than a treadmill! So make sure you are getting ample sleep each night so that you don’t end up like Anthony.
