Develop Habits, Military Style

In the military there are some key objectives.  One of which is to get you to change the way you think, feel, eat, sleep, dream, hope, want, or do anything for that matter, and to do this there is some conditioning that has to take place.  Conditioning and brain washing are nothing more than the process of developing habits.  And, the military has the most effective way to get people to develop habits.

In the military you will be surrounded by people who are constantly motivating you to try harder.  Some of these people are called goodies, they are your friends.  They will scream things like get up you lazy bum and make yourself useful, you know, encouraging stuff.  Then there are the badies, or the enemies.  These guys won’t say anything, their presence is like a grade school principal, and sometimes just the thought is enough to motivate you.

Point is find a buddy that will keep you motivated in your fitness endeavors.

The second trick the military really uses to reinforce good habits is their environment.  A great way to keep yourself doing what you want, or not doing what you want, is by restructuring your environment.  This could mean being thrown into a warzone or just getting rid of your deep-fryer.

Let me reiterate, restructure your environment.

Between finding buddies and restructuring your environment you should get all the help you need with developing some good habits.  Now get out there and start changing your life for the better, before someone comes and changes it for you. Got it?
